How to use the X Thread Generator

A thread needs a reason for readers to move from one post to the next. Describe the topic, audience, and goal, then choose a sequence length that fits your argument. Numbering and the final CTA are included in the length checks so you can review the actual text you will copy.

  1. 1

    Explain the thread's point

Add a topic, reader, tone, and goal. Include the concrete examples or evidence the thread should use.

  2. 2

    Choose limits

Set 2–10 posts and a budget from 100–1,000 characters per post. Use a budget compatible with your own account and post format.

  3. 3

    Check the sequence

Review the numbered posts. If you edit a post beyond the budget, copying it is disabled until you shorten it. Check the final thread in X.

A worked example

Starting point

Three posts about a simpler publishing checklist, 280-character budget.

Example approach

1/3 A publishing checklist works best when it catches specific mistakes. 2/3 Open every destination link and inspect the preview before scheduling. 3/3 Give one person responsibility for the final check. Add that check to your next draft.

Tips for a better result

  • Make the first post useful even if someone never opens the thread.
  • Let each post add a new point instead of repeating the hook.
  • Leave space for links or mentions you add after generation.

The server checks Unicode code points and an X weighted estimate. URL parsing and account allowances may differ in X; this is not an official validation service.

Frequently asked questions

Does the budget include numbering?

Yes. Every generated post is numbered before validation. The last post's CTA and line breaks also count toward its budget.

What happens if a generated post is too long?

The server rejects the malformed result instead of showing an over-limit thread. If your later edits exceed the budget, the tool asks you to shorten them before copying.

How are my inputs handled?

Your brief is sent to Caroush and its Azure AI provider to generate the result. The tool does not save prompts or results. Short-lived, pseudonymous usage counters help enforce free limits. Avoid confidential information and review the privacy policy for hosting and provider processing.

Why might generation be unavailable?

Free generation has per-network and site-wide limits. Missing service configuration, a busy provider, or a reached quota can temporarily prevent generation. The calculators, formatter, and image tools work independently.
