How to use the LinkedIn Banner Generator

Build a banner around one clear idea. See your own headline across eight template previews, from quiet editorial frames to bold split layouts. Choose a font and palette, add a character or abstract vector art, and drag the elements into place.   • Keep important text clear of the profile-photo area.
  • Use strong text/background contrast and a short headline.
  • Inspect both the desktop and mobile result after upload.

Preset dimensions are recommendations, not guarantees of platform requirements. Text shrinks to fit, and LinkedIn may crop or compress the uploaded image.

Frequently asked questions

Are background images uploaded to a server?

No. The banner and profile-photo preview stay in your browser. PNG, JPEG, and WebP files are checked for size, type, and file signature before use.

Can I set custom dimensions?

Yes. Set a whole-number width and height between 32 and 4,096 pixels. Choose 1× or 2× export; neither exported side may exceed 4,096 pixels. The default LinkedIn banner exports at 3168 × 792 with 2× selected.

Are the profile photo and editing handles in the download?

No. They are preview overlays. The PNG contains only your banner design, including any background photo and vector art you selected.

Can I change fonts, templates, and vector art without signing in?

Yes. All eight templates, eight font styles, eleven palettes, and six vector illustrations are available without login. Fonts are hosted by Caroush, and banner editing and export happen locally.
